Sami Marriner: TBC
Hi I'm the founder of Making The Invisible Visible, which was created to raise awareness of invisible illnesses and disabilities to hopefully one day end the discrimination we receive on a daily basis.
I found coming to terms with my stoma exceptionally hard both mentally and physically but found acceptance when I did a photoshoot as a surprise for my husband on our wedding morning.
This helped me come to terms with my body changes and made me see the positives of them instead. This is why I decided to start empowerment shoots, which then led to the calendar being made.
I want others to see that they are enough, worthy and real.
Lizi Samson: TBC
I’m Lyndsay Mizen, 40, from Westbury in Wiltshire.
Doing the photoshoot took me back to some dark places from my school years that I hadn’t addressed for some time. I was quite surprised at how upset it still made me feel, but I was then reminded about how strong events like that in my life have made and I’m still here fighting; not just for myself, but for others who live with mental health issues.
